Even though it's still in beta, Windows Live Mail (formerly called Windows Live Mail Desktop) is already a quantum leap ahead of its Outlook Express predecessor. And while there's still work to be done, WLM is shaping up to be an excellent e-mail client that should appeal to a wide range of users.
Its excellent handling of multiple mail accounts and security features may even tempt some that have previously abandoned Microsoft e-mail clients. Its also features some impressive integration with Windows Live Spaces, Windows Live Contacts, and Windows Live Messenger.
