Adobe's (formerly Macromedia) plug-in Shockwave and Flash technologies bridge the gap between standalone Adobe Director movie presentations and the interactive frenzy that is the Internet. As Jonathan Paijon, executive vice president of 2-Lane Media, says, "Shockwave opens exciting new doors for everything from original online entertainment to interactive product demos...The potential for this product is absolutely tremendous."

Important note for v10: Adobe states that users upgrading to the beta 10.0 release should first uninstall any currently installed Flash Player before installing the beta release.
