With a permanent connection to the Internet, your computer is at its most vulnerable when left idle or unattended. Any potential attacker can infiltrate your computer secretly and implant hidden tools that can be used to send data back out over the Internet at a later time. ZoneAlarm's Internet Lock feature ensures that your computer won't be compromised while you're away from it.
The Internet Lock can be set up to engage automatically after a set period of inactivity -- or at the same time the computer's screen saver takes over. Options are available to block all Internet traffic or allow only approved applications such as e-mail clients to send and receive data over the 'net.
