MSN Explorer combines the best aspects of Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, MSN Messenger, and Windows Media Player into one graphically appealing, easy to use application. While the browser suite does give up some of the more advanced features and functionality featured in each of the standalone clients, this actually helps make MSN Explorer more appealing to novice users that are looking for an all-in-one Web solution that they can easily and quickly get up and running with.
At this level, MSN Explorer succeeds beyond all expectations. More experienced users, however, are unlikely to want to trade MSN Explorer's attractive interface and singular simplicity for Internet Explorer's flexibility and extensive customization capabilities. MSN Explorer's integrated mail client suffers a similar fate when compared to Outlook Express; power users are unlikely to want to sacrifice features for ease of use.
