The bottom line is that SmartDownload just isn't smart enough. What should already be included as a standard part of the browser (and without advertisements) isn't, and what could be a very useful addition for all types of browser users isn't.
We highly recommend waiting and hoping for something better from Netscape (or from Microsoft for Internet Explorer) over downloading SmartDownload. An even better recommendation for those willing to shell out a couple of dollars is to download the $17.50 GetRight and enjoy a tool that is smart when it comes to downloading files.
Pros: Automatic download recovery, ability to pause and resume downloads, free add-on
Cons: Too many ads, not smart enough (not enough options and way too cumbersome)
