Recent improvements to mIRC have taken it even closer to the top in terms of both power and ease of use; however, with all the competition out there, it may not be able to hold its share of the pole position for long. New releases have also witnessed major rewrites in the mIRC code, resulting in greater performance overall and improved screen layout.
Some of the many features recently incorporated into mIRC include a history of the last twenty commands used (for quick and easy replication), basic scripting capabilities, Microsoft Agent support, window roll/unroll capabilities, a configurable toolbar with quick tooltips, programmable function keys, a built-in .wav player, parameter strings, support for additional fonts, private conversation capabilities, a built-in finger server, and much more.
