Beyond weather information, WeatherXpress also sports a number of helpful features that you won't find in other weather clients. However, most of these tools are only available in the registered release, so you'll need to fork over $20 in order to use them. An integrated e-mail tool will check for new mail on up to 4 POP accounts and 3 Web mail accounts (HotMail, ZDNetMail, and YahooMail). WeatherXpress will play a configured sound and text alert message anytime you have new incoming mail.
The registered release can also be set up to send you configurable weather alerts via e-mail; for example, you can have WeatherXpress send you an e-mail anytime the temperature goes below freezing in your home town. Additional features available only in the registered release include a daily horoscope, a "Today in Weather History" bulletin, rise and set times for the Sun and Moon, and an option for setting your system time to match the Atomic Clock at the US Naval Observatory.
