Even after delving beyond the interface of IE6, there are only a few changes that stand out. These include an Image toolbar that allows you to quickly and easily save, e-mail, and/or print pictures that you find on Web pages; an automatic Image Resize feature; privacy enhancements that offer support for the Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P) standard, and improved Web browser reliability with built-in fault correction and reporting services.
As far as new features for developers go, the list begins with full support for CSS and DOM Level 1, support for Microsoft XML 3.0, enhanced SMIL 2.0 multimedia support, content-restricted IFrames, support for mouse wheel events, easier integration of server and client side code via Microsoft .NET, automatic ellipses for text overflow, and install-on-demand Java VM support.
