Firehand Ember Pro and Ember 2000 Editions
There are two editions of Firehand Ember currently available for purchase: a $34.95 Pro version and a $64.95 2000 release. The two packages are very similar and include all of the features and functionality previously mentioned. The Firehand 2000 Ember package differs from the Pro release in that it includes an integrated Wallpaper changer, Screensaver module, a Slideshow engine, and a few additional features like mass thumbnail image export. The evaluation download for Firehand Ember is a restricted version of the 2000 edition.
Ember 2000's wallpaper changer offers manual and automatic settings, folder-tree traversal capabilities, and a desktop color matching option. The screensaver sports multiple transition effects and sequencing controls (with randomization options for both), background audio support, captioning options, and digital audio and video file support when used in conjunction with the optional $19.95 Firehand Media Xtension Add-in. The slideshow utility combines the screensaver features with full-screen and windowed playback modes, drag and drop support, and culling capabilities for on-the-fly deletions.
