Magellan Explorer now supports drag-and-drop everywhere -- regardless of where you are dragging to or from. Create shortcuts by dragging files to the desktop, download files, or backup your data, all using this simple method. You can even drag files from within archives directly onto FTP sites and vice versa.
New file viewers!
Magellan Explorer also offers a new small and fast text viewer as well as an advanced multi-format viewer based on ActiveX technology. The multi-format viewer supports all of the following formats:
· ASCII files · Hex1 viewing of any files · Rich Text Format (RTF) · JPEG · TIFF (CCITT 1D, G3 and G4) · PNG · Window Metafile (WMF) · Windows Enhanced Metafile (EMF) · PCX and DCX · BMP · DIB · PIC · TARGA · Microsoft Office documents (1) · HTML (2) · GIF (2) · PDF files through the Acrobat ActiveX control (2)
All time-consuming file operations now run in the background!
Copy (As), Move (As), Find, Delete, Download, Upload, Archive and Unarchive functions all run in the background with Magellan Explorer 2.0. A new progress window provides all the information and statistics about file jobs one could wish for. There's even a queue scheduler giving complete control over all operations and allowing you to pause, stop, or play any file operation!
