The Winsock2 update will only install on Windows 95 computers (Winsock2 is included with Windows NT 4 and Windows 98). If you're going to be installing the Microsoft Dial-Up Networking (MSDUN) client as well as the Winsock2 update, make sure you install MSDUN first. If installed after Winsock2 the MSDUN client will overwrite wsock32.dll and other winsock files, so you won't be able to benefit from Winsock2.
