Quote Ticker Bar (QTB) is a great little stock tool that creates an app bar (similar to the Windows 95/98 task bar) on your screen for displaying the latest information for your favorite stocks. In addition to working on Windows 95/98/ME machines, QTB also runs on Windows NT/2000 and Windows 3.x platforms (Windows 3.x users will need Win32s in order to run the program, though).
A recent change with the 6.0 release of Quote Ticker Bar is that the downloadable edition now functions as ad-supported freeware, meaning that as long as you don't mind an ad or two, you can continue to use the program indefinitely without needing to pay a registration fee. Users can eliminate the ads by registering the $20 stock client.
