iCASTER Review Multimedia Playback via the Windows Media Player Forrest Stroud
Multimedia Playback via the Windows Media Player
iCASTER supports a wide variety of audio and video formats, including MP3, wave, midi, AU, WMA, ASF, ASX, SND, and AIF formats for audio and MPEG, AVI, MOV, MP2, MPA, MPE, RMI, and Apple QuickTime formats for video. iCASTER can be set up as the default media player for all of these formats so that anytime you click on a media file or on a media link in your Web browser, iCASTER will immediately start playing the file.
iCASTER displays audio and video content using its own interface, but most of the technology comes from the Windows Media Player. For this reason, you will either need to have Windows Media Player 6.4 (or higher) already installed on your computer, or you will need to download the complete version of iCASTER (which includes the 6.4 release of the Media Player). Support for the following formats in iCASTER is derived from the Media Player: AVI, ASF, ASX, RMI, WAV, WMA, WAX, WMV, and WM.
