Windows ME Security Patches for 2000
12.01.00. The "Incomplete TCP/IP Packet" patch eliminates a vulnerability in Windows NT 4.0, 9x, and ME that could allow a malicious user to temporarily prevent an affected machine from providing any networking services or cause it to stop responding entirely.
10.19.00. The "HyperTerminal Buffer Overflow" patch eliminates a security vulnerability in the HyperTerminal application that ships with Windows 98/98 SE, 2000, and ME (Millennium Edition). The vulnerability could, under certain circumstances, allow a malicious user to execute arbitrary code on another user’s system.
10.12.00. The "Malformed IPX NMPI Packet" patch eliminates a security vulnerability in all editions of Windows 95, 98/98 SE, and ME (Millennium Edition). The vulnerability could be used to cause an affected system to fail, and potentially could be used to flood the network with superfluous data. The affected system component normally is present only if it has been deliberately installed.
10.11.00. The "Share Level Password" patch eliminates a security vulnerability in all editions of Windows 95, 98 (including 98 SE), and ME (Millennium Edition). The vulnerability could allow a malicious user to access a Windows 9x/ME file share without knowing the entire password assigned to that share.
