MidiGate and CD Gate are small applications that play MIDI files and audio CDs, and are designed to function either as standalone players or as external helper clients for playing files from within web browsers.
Features in the clients include seek and save capabilities, a scan for text option, General Midi/GS (Roland)/Patch reset keys (MidiGate only), and automatic termination. A native 32-bit release of MidiGate is now available that runs on Windows 95/98 and Windows NT. Newer releases add support for long file names, an improved seek feature, a "stay on top" option, and additional new features.
