Microsoft Outlook Express
Extremely Intuitive and Easy to Use
Forrest Stroud

Extremely Intuitive and Easy to Use

Outlook Express is one of the most -- if not the most -- intuitive and easy to use mail clients currently available. From its automatic Address Book Import tool for Eudora (Pro and Light), Netscape (Navigator and Communicator), Microsoft Internet Mail, LDAP, and text comma-delimited files to its straightforward three-pane user interface, Outlook Express has both novice and expert users covered.

Getting up and running with Outlook Express is surprisingly simple as well, even if you've been a long-time user of another mail or news client. Similar to the Address Book Import tool, three additional wizards are available for importing your existing messages, mail account settings, and news account settings. The Import Messages wizard will automatically import your messages from Microsoft Exchange or any of the clients listed above for the Address Book Import tool.

The Import Mail Accounts wizard will import your settings from Netscape Navigator or Netscape Communicator, while the Import News Accounts wizard will only import your settings from Communicator. While the wizards don't offer import capabilities for some notable standalone clients like Pegasus Mail, Agent, and Gravity, if you're a current user of any of the competing products that are supported, you'll definitely find it both easy and worthwhile to import your mail settings and messages over to Outlook Express.
