Netscape Instant Messenger Quick Buddy and AIM Remote Forrest Stroud
Quick Buddy and AIM Remote
In addition to the standard AOL Instant Messenger client, a travel version and a Web toolbar version are also available. Quick Buddy is a small, travel version of the standard AIM client that allows you to view your Buddy List and send instant messages from any computer with an Internet connection and a Web browser. Like AIM, Quick Buddy is a free service, but you need to be a registered AIM user of America Online subscriber in order to use it.
AIM Remote is a tool bar that can be added to Web sites in order to allow visitors to send instant messages to you, add your screen name to their buddy list, or send e-mail messages to you. An AIM Remote wizard guides you through the process of implementing the tool bar on your Web site.
