An interim release, v7.1, adds additional strength and functionality to the player with Windows Media Audio 8 (WMA8) encoding and decoding support, Windows Media Video 8 decoding, Smart Transcode support for high-quality transfers to portable devices, and a new Enterprise Deployment Pack. This release also offers some important bug fixes and security patches, including one for the ".ASX Processor Contains Unchecked Buffer" vulnerability.
