Query Multiple Servers and Channels for IRC Users
While the servers' entire selection of channels can be searched for matching users, IRCFerret is much quicker if you restrict the search to specific channels. Additionally, all servers can be scanned, or you can restrict the search to an individual server (DalNet, EffNet, NewNet, or GalaxyNet, for example) in order to speed up the process.
Once the search results have been returned, you can talk to the user by simply double-clicking on his or her name; IRCFerret will then launch your favorite IRC client (as long as it is one of IRCFerret's currently supported IRC clients) and connect you to the specific server and channel so that you can start chatting. IRCFerret also gives you the ability to mail a person or check out their home page, if they have one.
