The Pros and Cons of NetSonic
NetSonic loads when you start Windows, as opposed to when you start your browser. As a result, NetSonic's cache can monitor multiple browsers on your system and provide all of its cached content to any browser you use. Of course, it would be even better if NetSonic could work across your network and aggregate every user's cached content for the ultimate in performance.
Another beneficial feature in NetSonic is a traybar icon that provides quick access to the NetSonic program options and also lets you know whether or not NetSonic is currently running. NetSonic will work with all major browsers, including Internet Explorer (v3.x and higher), Netscape Navigator (v3.x and higher), Netscape Communicator (v4.x and higher), Opera (v3.x and higher), and browsers from AOL and Compuserve.
While the downloadable release is available free of charge, it is ad-supported freeware, meaning that you can expect to be bombarded with advertisements anytime you visit a page. Another downside to NetSonic is that you have to hit the reload button each and every time a page has been updated, which can quickly become annoying when visiting sites with frequently updated content.
