In its early days, News Xpress combined many of the best features found in Free Agent, Agent, and Gravity with a few unique ones of its own, including kill-file and autoselect abilities, to go along with an inline image viewer and filtering, sorting, and mailing capabilities.
The now discontinued freeware newsreader also serves as a precursor to the Xnews newsreader, which builds on the selling points of News Xpress and adds many of its own.
