Fun for the Whole Family
NIS excels in its support for multiple users, with customizable user profiles that allow each user to personalize his or her Internet usage. The security suite complements this with real-time reporting on each user's Internet activity via the Status Pane.
A password-protected Supervisor account handles all additional accounts, allowing one user to modify, add, or remove account properties for each user. The Supervisor account loads upon startup by default, but you can configure any user account to load in place of the Supervisor.
Setting up additional accounts is easy as well, with pre-configured account settings available for children, teenagers, and adult users. Children and teenagers are automatically prevented from accessing sex-related and other questionable Web sites as defined in the Parental Control URL Database provided by NIS. As with the rest of the Norton Internet Security suite, you can begin with the default account settings for each user and customize them as necessary.
