Unique Editor Clipbook Tool and Additional NoteTab Features
NoteTab includes a powerful and extensible Editor Clipbook tool with built-in libraries for HTML tags, acronyms, 'smiley' icons, and more. The Clipbook makes it easy to insert tags, execute scripts, compute math equations, process quick conversions, add special characters, and more -- you can even program your own library tools. There are also a variety of downloadable libraries available from the NoteTab Web site.
Like UltraEdit, NoteTab sports a tabbed document interface that makes switching between open documents as fluid and seamless as possible. Additional NoteTab features include find in files and replace in files capabilities, a customizable toolbar (although you can't rearrange the order of the toolbar buttons), an integrated spelling checker and thesaurus (not included in the downloadable trial release), and a Favorites feature for quickly opening files and directories.
NoteTab also offers the ability to capture text copied to the Clipboard from other applications, integrated support for Perl and Gawk interpreters, automatic scrolling, Web-enabled documents (offering the ability to open links and HTML documents in your Web browser), functions for converting text files to Web documents, sorting options for files, and file conversion capabilities.
