Overall, AVP's excellent virus scanning and real-time monitoring capabilities elevate it to an enviable position in the virus scanner market. If you're willing to sacrifice a few features and an attractive design for a lean, mean virus-fighting machine, Kaspersky Anti-Virus is the scanner for you.

Pros: Excellent virus detection/removal capabilities, real-time monitor, frequent updates

Cons: Hogs processor and system resources, slow relative to the competition, limited features beyond scanning and monitoring capabilities
