First Floor Software's first software client for the Internet has evolved from strictly a bookmark manager into a full-fledged Internet agent. Like Netscape Chat (an app released during the same period as SmartMarks 1.0), Smart Bookmarks was one of the first apps developed to utilize the seamless integration with Netscape as made possible by the Netscape Client Application Programming Interface (NCAPI).
