How do I make my shortcuts look better? Windows NT 4.0 has four files that contain plenty of icons to jazz up your Shortcuts. To change the icon of any Shortcut: - Right-click over the Shortcut.
- Select Properties.
- Select the Shortcut tab.
- Click Change Icon.
- Click Browse.
- Open one of these four files from the winntsystem32 directory: shell32.dll, pifmgr.dll, moricons.dll, or progman.exe.
- Select an icon; then click OK.
- Click OK to close the Properties window.
