RealNetworks RealJukebox 1.0 MP3 Management Ben Durbin
While you’re recording all your favorite songs, you will need to manage them. RealJukebox has a nice database system that allows sorting songs alphabetically, or by artist, album or genre. If you don’t like its sorting patterns, you can just sort them yourself any way you like. It will also search your hard drive for other MP3s in other directories before your Jukebox recordings, and sort them too. The program will import M3U, PLS, and CD-Streamer playlists, or you can create your own playlist by simply dragging and dropping.
If you need to manage other versions of music files, RealNetworks supports some of them. In addition to MP3 and RAM, RealJukebox handles RA, RM, RMP, RMJ, and WAV files. Just drag them into the Music Library, and they'll instantly put themselves in the correct folders as best they can.
In addition to turning your PC into a Jukebox, RealJukebox has the ability to import MP3s to portable devices. Two that you might be interested in are Diamond’s Multimedia Rio or the upcoming Nomad from Creative. Who knows? Maybe you’ll be turning your home stereo system into an MP3 Jukebox before long.
