I was bored. It was a warm summer's day and I wasn't enjoying it, cooped up inside some small office listening to lecturer Peter babble on about something quite un-digestible.
"And then, you'll be sitting the examination. Exciting stuff those exams..." Yeah, dead exciting. It was hot outside. Almost twelve o'clock. The guy next to the traffic lights was selling copies of the 'Big Issue' again. Was that legal? Suddenly, someone slightly more interested than myself posed a question to Peter "the Professor." It was something about test examinations.
"Ahhh, yes. I'll recommend a company to you. They're the epitome of pseudo--examinations, the absolute crème de la crème. Trust me, Microsoft despises this company--that shows you how close their test questions get to the real thing!" Doc was getting so worked up with his 'epitomes' and 'crèmes' that I prompted him for the name before he fainted from exhaustion.
"The Transcender Corporation", he said. That was the first time I heard the name--but it certainly would not be the last.
Producers of simulated Microsoft examinations, the Transcender Corporation is a leader in their own unique field. Founded in 1992, the folk behind their "shocked guy" logo have been helping IT experts get their bits of paper year after year.
