Intuit Quickbooks Pro 6.0 What About the Y2k bug? Michael Furdyk
According to Intuit, QuickBooks can correctly distinguish between data intended to refer to dates beginning January 1, 2000 and beyond, and data intended to refer to dates between January 1, 1900 and December 31, 1999. It can also accurately process all date data and calculations related to that data with no adverse impact. Attached is the expected legal trailer: "This statement is provided to the customer for the sole purpose of planning for the Year 2000, and is based upon currently available information that may be updated should new information arise. This notice is also subject to the disclaimers of warranties and conditions and exclusion of liability set forth in the end user licence agreement that accompanies the software."
So QuickBooks will work next year! That should provide relief to business owners of all types, having one less software package to worry about as the millenium approaches.
