Intuit Quickbooks Pro 6.0
Introduction
Michael Furdyk

QuickBooks BoxIntuit's best-selling accounting program has gotten better. The latest version, 6.0, includes a suite of improvements over previous versions. With the new features in this version, Quickbooks is sure to remain in the #1 spot for many more months. We reviewed the Pro version of QuickBooks, which adds several advanced features like Time Tracking, Multi-User support, and Advanced Job Costing, but the core program is the same as QuickBooks.

The First Time
When you first start QuickBooks, you complete an easy Start-up Interview, which tailors QuickBooks to your needs. QuickBooks provides industry-specific guidance to assist you during the setup process. Setup was simple, and gave helpful tips to ensure we understood what we were doing. In QuickBooks Pro, you can setup accounts for people who will be accessing your QuickBooks data, and specify what features each user can access.

When you start QuickBooks, the Reminder window pops up, letting you know what you've scheduled to do. The QuickBooks Navigator provides easy access to key QuickBooks functions, and as your needs change, you can turn on features of QuickBooks like payroll or inventory. If you don't need certain features, you can simply turn them off. The ease of customization and clean interface makes QuickBooks one of the most user-friendly Windows™ applications you will use.
