Summary
On a scale of 1 to 5, I gave it a 3. I noticed the first half of the video was rather thorough and the last half rushed. Perhaps they were running out of time. Steve's oneliners were OK most of the time and other times downright corny. The background music was extremely unappropriate for this type of video. Working with files, Launching applications and files and Microsoft Network sections were fairly thorough, and Faxing, Troubleshooting and Tips and tricks were not. While discussion of running Safe Mode may have been necessary, the lack of thorough discussion of Scan-disk and its features were not acceptable. Also, there was no coverage of Defragmentation. That was not acceptable in my book, either. And while the coverage of Send To was good, it was noted that the omission of Send To Any Folder and the options of COPY and MOVE were not discussed. This is important for a beginner or intermediate user to be aware of, due to the fact Send To is such a great tool. All totaled up, Windows 95 is a wonderfully and creatively designed Operating System that has many different areas of user appeal. This video succeeds in most areas of making Windows 95 an easier environment to come to terms with for the beginner.
