Winhelp Office 4
Introduction
Brad Mills

Need to create attractive help systems? Not sure which way to go? Well here's your answer; WinHelp Office will change your MS Word environment into a help creation powertool. Not only does it provide full support for Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0, it combines the power of HTML-based help systems to meet the growing popularity of the internet and intranets. Any program needs a good help system if it's going to be successful, now you can have the edge over your competitors providing a top-rate help system via WinHelp Office.

RoboHELP 4.0

RoboHELP 4 is the main key to unlocking the power of the WinHelp Office. It turns your Microsoft Word for Windows 95 (versions 7 and Word 97) into a help authoring powertool. With it's easy to use tool palette and incredible help system (what help authoring tool would be complete without it's own fabulous help files?) that's easy to learn and apply to any situation that need be. Creating topics, jumps, popups, and even adding multimedia aspects to your help systems are done quickly and conveniently from the floating tool bar. Don't worry about your MS-Word changing either, RoboHELP only changes the setup if you use its icon, by starting word with your normal Word icon it will appear as it always has.

ActiveX Controls

The SmartHelp ActiveX Control included with the suite provides the ability to add your own personal help buttons to any application designed in environments supporting ActiveX and OLE control standards - without having to program them in. ActiveX support is also included for HTML based help systems with WebPopupHelp. If you are designing your help system for the internet, then adding popup help to your design is easy and will give you the professional look you need in today's active market.

Moving-to-HTML

The Moving to HTML kit allows you to convert any windows help files into a fully-functional HTML-based files. The "Help-To-HTML" converter will convert any windows help file into entire websites for the internet or intranet. With so many applications today moving toward providing internet support within them, why not have your help system on-line? Even more attractive is providing both for your users, with the Moving-to-HTML kit, your help files created with RoboHELP are a snap to throw up on the internet, or just provide as a feature using an offline browser.

WinHelp HyperViewer

The Hyperviewer allows your Windows 3.1 help systems to mimic those found in Windows95. Many features such as multiple-topic printing, index tabs, full text searches and a hypertext view of the entire help system are added to the Windows 3.1 help design.

What's This? Help Composer

This item is a real gem to this suite. If your help system, is lacking that professional touch you always see in Microsoft or Macromedia products, then this allows you to create as complex a help system as you could possibly desire. What's This? allows you to create What's This? options in your program without the need of programming. Programs compiled in Borland, Microsoft, Symantec or Watcom C and C++ can be automatically scanned, adding our What's This? Context sensitive help to your program. This relieves hours of creating topics, links, debugging, creating ID's, testing and writing many many lines of code.
