Q M Laboratories Time-n-Measures 1.21 Lots of Neat Features That Are Easy to Use! Douglas Smith
There is an All Cities List, which calculates the current time and day of week for not only the 400 + cities that come standard with Time-n-Measures but also includes all cities or locations added by the end user. This list is updated every minute. If a city is double clicked, additional information is displayed. This information includes Longitude and Latitude, Date, Day of Week, City, State and Country. Also there is a City Hot List which is one of the most attractive and powerful features of this package. This feature allows the end user to select the cities or locations of interest and monitor them separate of The All Cities List. If you need to keep track of 10 international offices that you do business with, you need to know what day and time it is in each office for you to be sure that someone is there to do business with. The Time Forecast is a unique feature that allows the user to calculate the time of either the "All Cities" or Hot List" locations by giving a starting time from one location and viewing instantly what time it will be at the other locations. This is great if you need to find a good meeting time for all locations to participate in a teleconference or an online chat session. You can set an Alarm for any location in the world by an intuitive point and click input. Highlight the location to be set from either the "All Cities List" or the customized "City Hot List" and select the alarm settings menu item. Type in the time for the alarm to go off and press the "Set Alarm" button. You can even customize the alarm message (i.e. Time to call mom!) That's all there is to it! Unit Conversion is a must have for anyone who has a need to convert units not only from English to Metric (or visa versa) but need to convert within the same unit standards. You can convert Temperature, Weight, Volume, Area and Linear Distance. Also available to this feature is a calculator assist. You can move any unit number into a calculator to do calculations. Then you can pass it back into the unit converter to continue with your conversions. Another great feature is the World View, which is an exciting way to not only check on times world wide, but locate them geographically using an interactive globe of the world. The 400 + cities that come with Time-n-Measures are represented here. The colors on the map represent the Time Zones of the world. This globe comes complete with full rotational, zoom and pan controls intuitively built right in. The user may select a city from the scroll list and the globe will instantly locate this location geographically on the map. The information that is displayed in the title bar of the Map View window in what is called a "fly over" is the real time geographical information of where the mouse cursor is currently located. This includes Longitude, Latitude, City, State, Country and GMT offset. The panels to the right of the globe display all the date/time and geographical location information of the selected city. You may also select the city via the map to access this information as well.
