Teleport Pro touts itself as a "personal spider" or "webrover". What does it do? It loads up a specified webpage, and searches it for files of a certain type (and downloads them), searches the entire internet for sites matching a certain context and/or file type, or totally clones an entire website for browsing on your hard disk drive. It can also search sites for keyword(s) or follow the every link from a specified start point.

This handy little tool features an extensive help section, a wizard to get you on your way, and even a totally separate program called "scheduler" for activation of Teleport at a certain time. You can add as many sites as you like to the query, including logins and passwords if needed. Teleport Pro is one of the most valuable tools available today to any web master. Perhaps the best feature is this program's ability to totally replicate any website, starting from any directory, directly to your hard drive, maintaining the directory structure if wished. The play, pause, stop and abort buttons make this program a snap to use. To close it up during a function, simply press stop, close the program and open it back up later, and it will resume where it left off. Updating a previously completed session is easyeven if the site has changed.
