System Information The multimedia benchmarks use Intel’s Indeo 4.1 software, ActiveMovie and DirectX 3.0 or higher. If you have installed IE 4.0x or Windows 98, you’ll have more recent versions of the above, namely Indeo 5, ActiveMovie 2.x and DirectX 5.0. Instead of being an "intelligent" application and using these newer libraries to perform its tests, the use of Indeo 4.1 and the rest seems to be hard-coded and you get to read "Overall multimedia index could not be computed because you don’t have Indeo 4.1, ActiveMovie or the latest version of DirectX installed".
Installation Instead of installing the above libraries when you want to, you’ll have to install them yourself before you start the multimedia benchmarks. If you have Windows 98 or IE 4.x, do not install them, as they will overwrite your existing setup without asking.
However, apart from those two instantly apparent "bugs", this product is top-notch and an absolute must have for any Windows 95/98 user.
