If you are sick and tired of having to install multiple players or in-line plug-ins to view different types of multimedia content, then you need to get the new Windows Media Player. Microsoft has unveiled their new Windows Media player which eliminates the need for specific players for the various multimedia file formats used today. The Windows Media Player is a universal player that supports over twenty different file formats including Advanced Streaming Format (ASF), WAV, AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, MIDI, MOV, VOD, AU, MP3, QuickTime, RealAudio 4.0, and RealVideo 4.0 file types.
