Netscape Messenger delivers all the powerful functionality that users expect from a premier mail client. With dozens of usability improvements, it is one of the easiest mail clients to learn and use. Enhanced with a new three-pane user interface, fast and accurate Pinpoint Addressing, mail import utilities, rich Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) standards support, and offline synchronization. Netscape Messenger is a high-performance Internet mail client designed to let users communicate more easily and effectively on the Net. While testing the messenger we did experience some problems when pulling up the messenger with Win98, but remember that this is just Pre-release 1 and things should be better in the next release.
At a time when small soldiers are attacking, it looks like the war is on again. Netscape has no intention of giving up the war, even if some of us think that the battle has already been won. Communicator PR1 is an excellent product that just keeps getting better.
