InstallShield Software Corporation (then named Stirling Group) got into the business of Windows application development when Microsoft Corporation introduced Windows 3.0 in 1990. Offering the Shield series of tools, the company established itself as a leader in Windows installation and demonstration development.
You've probably seen their famous Installation Wizard which enhances and simplifies installation of many software packages. In fact, most of the installations that I've done are built with the InstallShield Wizard and I would guess that most of the installations you've done also use the Wizard..
Now, seeing an opportunity to utilize the company expertise for converting to Windows 2000 and Windows XP, InstallShield is offering a suite of integrated tools in their new product, InstallShield AdminStudio 2.0.
