Special Edition Using Microsoft Office XP Introduction D. E. Levine
This 1157-page volume by Ed Bott and Woody Leonhard is chock full of valuable information, for both beginners and experts, about using Office XP. While the size of the book may seem daunting, don't let the size dissuade you from buying the book.
I found that the book is divided into eight easily readable sections that provide step-by-step instructions for the reader. The instructions range from the initial installation of Office XP to advanced customization.
A nice feature is the inclusion of special "Tips" from the authors. These Tips point out features, annoyances, and tricks that Office users might miss. Other inserts labeled "Notes" offer extra information on topics. There are even "Cautions" that the authors day can save users hours of lost work. Added to these three special features are "Troubleshooting Notes" and "Crossreferences" that provide valuable help to the user.
