Opera 4.0
Opera 4.0--Surely a Must Have!
Douglas Smith

Upgrading to Opera 4.0 is a great idea if you are a previous user, upgrade cost from version 3.0 is $15 dollars US. If you are not upgrading from previous versions of Opera be aware that the $39 dollar price tag is steep considering IE and Netscape are now free. This is a choice that you must make after weighing the factors, but aside from the price, if you are looking for a small, very fast, and nicely designed browser or just tired of the big, bloated, and slow-loading others, don't hesitate on this one. We have always loved Opera's browser, but felt that it still needed a little more to make it a big-time contender. Well. those days are over now because with the release of Opera 4.0 the knockout punch is just minutes away. Opera 4.0 will run on just about anything that you can turn on! Memory doesn't seem to be a problem since it will run on as little as 640KB, and operating systems are, at this review, Windows 95,98, NT$, 2000, Windows 3.x, NT3.51, OS/2, Unix, BeOS, EPOC, and Linux. I don't know about you, but we are heading down to the Opera web site and order our copy today!
