Sensiva reads symbols sketched on the screen to execute any possible action, like:
"O" for Open
"Up" and "Down" straight lines for copy and paste,
"Left" and "Right" straight lines to go forward or backwards in your browser
"W" to launch Word, or
"S" to save a document
The beauty of Sensiva is that the various symbols will execute no matter what application is running. No more different hotkeys for different apps. Sensiva actually gathers commands and symbols as application-specific plug-ins, one plug-in per application. Sensiva knows what application you are in as you draw your symbol and automatically loads the correct plug-in.
Sensiva comes preloaded with plug-ins for most popular software applications and web browsers. But it also allows creation of new plug-ins for new applications in a matter of seconds. Using Sensiva for the first time with a program that it does not recognize, you are greeted with a dialog box containing a link to the Sensiva web site, to search for a custom plug-in for that program. The action library is also easily customized with personally designed symbols for any application.
Once up and running, click on the "S" to bring up the Sensiva Window. Then click on the drop-down and select the plug-in to work with. Double click on a symbol to bring up the Sensiva Action Editor, and edit actions associated with the symbol, or define a new symbol and associated actions.
Release 2.0 builds on what was already a great little utility, providing faster and fun-to-use shortcuts for controlling your operating system amd software applications. It works with virtually all software applications running on Microsoft Windows 9x, NT 4.0 and 2000. This is one of those programs that has to grow on you. The more you use it, the more you like it.
