Poco also has a powerful find function that will create a new mailbox with all of your found messages for you instantly. The list seems to just go on and on when it comes to Poco. Don’t let the small size fool you; this is a big performer for sure! Poco supports HTML, Privacy Sheets, spell check, auto coloring of replies, etc., etc., etc. There is a downside--Poco did tend to run a little slow when downloading highly graphical HTML messages over our dialup modem. This was not as evident when using our T1 line. Also, Poco doesn't support IMAP or PGP in this version. PGP will be included in version 2.0 when released. We also looked for a way to manage our mail without going online and using the view mail on server option, and found no way of deleting mail based on days left on server or remove from server when emptied from trash. We were told that some of these features will be implemented in version 2.0.
All-in-all Poco is a great little program to help master the vastness of the World Wide Web! For a list of all the features and to take a test drive of Poco, just jump down to their web site at http://www.pocomail.com/ and see for yourself. At press time version 2.0 was in final alpha testing and just about ready to go beta for an April release. From what we saw it will be even better than this version, with added functionality and speed. Stay tuned for more to come from Poco! Works with Win9x/NT/2000.
