All time-consuming file operations now run in the background!
Copy (As), Move (As), Find, Delete, Download, Upload, Archive and Unachieved now all run in the background.
A new progress window provides all the information and statistics about file jobs one could wish for. There is even a queue scheduler giving complete control over all operations. Pause, Stop or Play any file operation!
Improved performance!
Copy and Move are now up to twice as fast as "Windows Explorer" and previous versions of Magellan Explorer. It doesn't stop there; the Find tool is up to 10 times faster than before.
This is made possible by taking advantage of advanced file technology such as overlapped I/O (NT only) and Non-Buffered I/O. The latter enables Magellan Explorer to bypass the file system cache and read and write directly to memory.
