COMMUNICATE! PRO answers all of our office needs, with plenty of power under the hood to almost replace programs that we have been using for years. It doesn’t take long to install COMMUNICATE! PRO from the CD that comes with the 200 plus page manual, learning to use all of the features took quite awhile longer. Exploring and testing user-definable features required several more hours, and to this day we are still playing with little features that we just didn’t know existed. We suspect most users will pick and choose from the very large number of features for a relatively small set of functions they find most useful. The fax capability was very solid; faxes went through and were received with little or no problem at all. The interface is really neat, looking like a fancy office phone with buttons, lights, and sound! Setup was quick and simple too! COMMUNICATE! Pro requires a Windows PC with a compatible voice/speakerphone modem (either external or internal), with the PC running Windows 95 or later, or Windows NT. We tested it on a PC with a 300 MHz Pentium MMX CPU, 64 MB of RAM, and an internal 56Kbps modem. To use all the voice and audio functions, a microphone, internal sound card and a set of speakers were also required.
