PlanPlus 2.0 Adds More Power and Productivity To Outlook Outlook 2003 and XML Support Eric Grevstad
Mon 10/27/03 -- FranklinCovey says that more than six million people rely on its paper-based Planning System, which integrates the productivity and effectiveness principles of the famous 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Focus: Achieving Your Highest Priorities workshops. Now the company has upgraded the PlanPlus add-in that integrates the FranklinCovey system with Microsoft Outlook, including the new Outlook 2003 as well as versions 2000 and 2002 on desktop, laptop, and Tablet PCs.
PlanPlus 2.0 adds enhanced daily productivity features, including a new Home view that looks and works more like the FranklinCovey paper planner and Task List, and a new PowerNotes note-taking feature for capturing, organizing, searching, and sharing notes in context with Outlook appointments, contacts, e-mails, and tasks.
In addition to entering text, bullets, highlighting, and graphics, users can capture any printed page -- such as Web, Word, or PowerPoint pages -- and annotate and organize them within the familiar Outlook folder structure. TabletPC users can take full advantage of pressure-sensitive ink and handwriting for notes and drawings, and Exchange Server 2003, Microsoft .Net Framework, XML, and Web service support is built in.
The $100 PlanPlus 2.0 ($80 during a limited-time introductory offer) offers exclusive daily and weekly planning tools as well as "big picture" goals to keep users on track and leverage their time across the entire work week. Interactive coaching helps users become more effective in managing their professional and personal time, tasks, information, and goals.
