Roxio Puts Pics on Discs with PhotoSuite 5 Platinum Automated Tasks for Tyros, Powerful Features for Savvy Users Eric Grevstad
Mon 3/10/03 -- Its last major upgrade was in late 2000, but Roxio says today's PhotoSuite 5 Platinum makes up for lost time: The $50 package offers plenty of up-to-date options for capturing, organizing, enhancing, and sharing collections of images in print, online, via e-mail, or on CD or Video CD (the last yielding photo slide shows that play in most DVD players).
A single click lets beginners fix exposure, saturation, sharpness, and red-eye flaws in digital photos, while more advanced users can take advantage of robust editing tools or stitch a series of pictures into a seamless panorama. The software can save time by making changes to multiple photos simultaneously.
In addition to archiving images on CD or creating slide shows and electronic photo albums, PhotoSuite 5 Platinum lets users create personalized projects for greeting cards, invitations, calendars, and CD labels.
