FranklinCovey Integrates Planning System With Microsoft Outlook
PlanPlus Provides Interactive Coaching, Custom Views, PDA Support
Eric Grevstad

Tue 9/3/02 -- Lots of busy businesspeople manage their time and prioritize plans with FranklinCovey's paper-based planners and tools from its What Matters Most and The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People courses. Many more use Microsoft Outlook. A combination was inevitable: FranklinCovey PlanPlus seamlessly integrates goal-setting tools such as the Prioritized Daily Task List, Weekly Plan and Compass, and Master Task List with the familiar productivity interface of Microsoft's e-mail and calendar program.

PlanPlus includes synchronization features and special task, record, calendar, and contact applications for Palm OS and Pocket PC handheld computers, as well as printing capabilities tailored for all four FranklinCovey paper planner sizes. It offers a customized screen that puts Outlook's e-mail, calendar, and task list all in one view, helping users survey the entire workweek and leverage their time for maximum productivity.

Engaging, interactive coaching helps users become more effective in managing their time, tasks, data, and goals, as well as answering questions such as "What is the most valuable thing I could do with my time?" before answering meeting requests and keeping sight of "big picture" goals amid daily duties.

The $80 program is compatible with Microsoft Outlook 2000 and 2002 (XP).
