$40 iData Pro Brings Database Power Down To Size Between Sticky Notes and Microsoft Access Eric Grevstad
Thu 7/25/02 -- Casady & Greene Inc. has announced iData Pro for Windows, a simple database for keeping track of just about any kind of information with lightning-fast searches including Boolean logic.
An update to the program Mac users have known as QuickDex and InfoGenie, the $40 iData Pro is designed to keep users organized without the complexity of industrial-strength databases like Microsoft Access or FileMaker Pro. It lets you sort data into free-form or field-based files with over 32K of information per record; quickly search by name, number, title, and more; and quickly dial phone numbers or print labels and envelopes.
Besides keeping track of contacts, notes, serial numbers, passwords, personnel files, or anything else you can think of, iData Pro can archive Outlook Express, Netscape, or Eudora e-mail messages into a swift, searchable database. A supplied iData Remote feature synchronizes contact information or other data with a Palm, Handspring, or Sony PDA.
