Microsoft Boosts Home Office Users With Personal Collection 2002 Office Templates Bundled With Encarta, Money, and Picture It Photo Eric Grevstad
Mon 1/28/02 -- Home and small-office users are just as reliant on Microsoft Office as their corporate cousins. If you're a licensed user of Office 97, 2000, or XP, Microsoft now turns its productivity suite into home, suite home with the $55 Microsoft Personal Collection 2002.
The Office add-on stars Personal Portfolio 2002, a set of over 600 high-quality templates for Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to help organize home life, business, community, or schoolwork. (Office Personal Portfolio 2002 is available separately for $20.)
Three other programs offer research, financial, and desktop publishing assistance: The Encarta 2002 Standard encyclopedia provides more than 38,000 articles and 26,000 Web links as well as live online radio, weather, and MSNBC news reports; Money 2002 Standard helps families manage their finances, investments, and taxes from checkbook balancing to future planning; and Picture It Photo 2002 offers 1,600 photos and project templates and 20,000 framing combinations as well as tools to fix common image problems like red-eye effects and scratches.
