Jasc Software Introduces Namo WebEditor 5.0 Web Site Creator and Manager On Sale at $129 Eric Grevstad
Mon 11/5/01 -- Webmasters have been using Jasc Software's Paint Shop Pro to edit and optimize the images on their sites for years. Now the company hopes to fill a bigger niche in their online toolkits, acquiring North American and other distribution rights to Namo Interactive Inc.'s new Namo WebEditor 5.0.
Designed for novice and intermediate Web site creators and managers, Namo WebEditor offers drag-and-drop page elements to design sophisticated pages without programming as well as a hands-on HTML source editor with code validation, browser compatibility checks, and tag clean-up.
Rookies can take advantage of a Site Wizard with over 200 customizable templates and themes, while a Script Wizard takes care of adding rollovers, scrolling banners, and other JavaScript elements. Another wizard helps create dynamic database pages, while a Site Manager lets users view reports, change site structure, and publish their sites to the Web all from one screen.
Namo WebEditor 5.0 costs $149 ($139 for the downloaded version), with a $20 discount available through December 31, 2001.
